This wedding was truly exceptional in every way and in every detail. When I first met Elizabeth and Jim and they said “winter wonderland”, I thought sure, lots of people want that. But when we dug deeper and I realized we could really go all out, and they were open to my concept of bringing the outdoors in, I got really excited!
For this couple, we pulled out all the stops and each and every element was made custom just for them. We started with the floorplan. We split the room into zones. Everything spread out from the dance floor at the center, and one side of the room would be the Gold Zone, and one side would be the Silver Zone. Within those zones were long tables in the White Zone, surrounding the dance floor. The dance floor featured a custom floor & winter structure, lounge furniture, and the most stunning cake that was taller than an adult. For the ceremony, a sleigh was created to fit down the aisle with the kiddos, which we used again at the reception as their “gift table”. Though it didn’t snow, “snow” was on the steps of the church to greet guests for the winter soiree. At the reception, guests found their name on the mirror wall covered in fresh and fragrant florals. On either side of the room, guests would order their drinks from bars made completely of ice, featuring their monogram with embedded flowers or branches. Specially designed lighting deepened the effect of the outdoors with trees and branches and a dynamic snowfall all night long. The bride and groom sat on a glistening white stage covered in candles and flowers and guest’s centerpieces included frozen flowers, giant trees, and lush white garlands.
Check out how we went from a plain ballroom to the indoor/outdoor enchanted forest of their dreams over the course of 8 hours!
