Kayophe and Jeremy had recently relocated to St Louis from Springfield IL right before their wedding and we got to work right away on their dream vision of a regal Old Hollywood affair. Kayophe knew she wanted her bridesmaids to wear all black sexy gowns, because she’s that kind of girl who couldn’t be outshined no matter what. She wanted orchids, she wanted sparkle, and Jeremy was on board for anything that made her happy.
This couple is truly amazing and so deeply in love. Kayophe is also one of my very best friends and I agreed to pull double-duty as a planner and bridesmaid. Planning for them was so easy breezy and I’m crazy about the end-result. The subtle glimmer of a black lace overlay linen, the biggest orchids I’ve.ever.seen, the DJ playing jazz standard versions of current pop songs, the formal attire of the guests, the champagne greeting guests at the ceremony – all created a truly luxurious Old Hollywood feel, for an affair that did NOT break the bank! They had a strict budget and we worked hard to creatively provide glam on a dime. Can you believe it? Take a look at the overboard photo story below (sorry, I couldn’t help it, they are just such a perfect couple!) to see for yourself!
