Shayna and Dan live in Sunnyvale CA where Dan is a design engineer for Tesla and Shayna works in Marketing, but Dan is originally from St Louis and they knew they wanted their wedding near family. When Shayna approached us, she said she wanted dusty blue and burnt orange (our ears perked up – how interesting!) and was going to make her own paper flower centerpieces (uh oh!). Turns out, Shayna is an incredible talent. She crafted each of her flowers one by one out of different types of paper, and we had never seen anything quite like it. They were showstoppers, and they looked so real. She showed us a sample and we created everything about their wedding around her sample centerpiece. While we worked on wedding planning and design, Shayna worked a full time job and created all of her centerpieces over the course of a year! On wedding day, the weather was hot – very hot – and right before they said I Do, the most ominous black storm cloud approached, promising to unload right on top of them and their guests. Vows wrapped up just in time, everyone stayed dry, it rained the rest of the time but everyone was under the cover of the Pavilion. It was a gorgeous event!
